I offer a range of personalized services based on your specific need.
Counseling: I use a range of therapeutic approaches to help individuals struggling with mental health problems, past trauma, grief and addictions. We work together to understand the key causes of their distress and develop new coping strategies. I offer a confidential and safe space for people to explore their feelings. As individuals progress through counseling, they make key changes that ultimately lead to a sense of being more balanced and positive
Coaching: Coaching sessions offer an effective means for learning to adjust to life changes. These could be events like a starting a new job, lost job, new baby, relationship issues, or work problems etc. I work with the individual to clarify problems and goals, analyze pros and cons, identify resources, and develop solutions-oriented strategies. The goal is to help the individual feel that his/her life is back on track.
Consultation: Like people, organizations also go through stages as they transition from being small business to large enterprises. I offer work-shops and one-on-one session to agencies experiencing these “growing-pains”. As a certified Mental Health First Aid specialist, I am also trained to provide post-trauma debriefing, such as after the death of a colleague, or natural disaster. I offer consultation services to businesses that are looking to transform themselves into a trauma-informed workplace.
Mental Health Professionals:
Clinical Supervision: I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia and have supervised counselors for the past 10 years. I offer both individual and group professional supervision to eligible LPC candidates in Washington DC. My supervision focuses on ethical standards of practice, professional development, and covers the key content areas outlined by NBCC.
